In addition to being deficient in vitamin D, most people are woefully deficient in magnesium and other minerals as well! So take a big epsom salt bath when you're feeling bad :)

I also love Natural Calm, a drink powder you can buy on Amazon. It helps me so much <3

Could we have a weighted blanket update? Are you still using it? I'm considering buying one but it's a big commitment financially for a student!

Thank you Kelly for your tips, your videos always seem to cheer me up! I've always been a very anxious person and now I finally managed to get some help, I am going through a horrible break up with whom I spent 4 years of live and thougth I would spend many more. Maybe you should consider making some tips to help survive a break up. I wish you the best :)

Thank you for all the helpful tips. As I've gotten older, I've noticed how much people are lacking in communication skills. Especially the younger generation. I think you are right that due to social media and anxiety, people are less likely to talk in a healthy, constructive way. That's why it's so important to communicate and take care of yourself. Even it people don't mean to hurt you, their words can have a heavy impact on you.

Thank you for this video Kelly! I'd like to share what works FOR ME: I've struggling with anxiety for a while now. It's definitely better since I've received professional help at the time and now I carry on with the instruments my doctor taught me.
In my case, nowadays mostly, I've found BREATHING and DANCING and EFT (TAPPING) as my go to solutions when I feel anxiety lurking. I also started gym a little while ago, and I've already noticed a whole new boost in my mood!
As Kelly said, a good positive music playlist can do wonders! If I'm feeling negative or moody, once I validate that emotion and ask myself why I'm feeling it, I put "Walking on sunshine" or "Don't stop me now" and just dance my ass off!! It's magical and I feel so empowered afterwards! Meditation and breathing have also been a turning point in how I approach anxiety. If I feel anxious I try to focus on the present, concentrate on my breathing, bloat my stomach with each breath and slowly let it out. That led me to meditation, I do a 10/20 minute session (almost) every night and those nights I sleep like a baby. I've been using the 432Hz tones too to sleep! I find them very VERY calming when paired with some concious breathing!
And If I'm overrun with anxiety, my heart won't calm down, and all that we all know so well haha, I go to a great Brad Yates video on EFT tapping for anxiety. In only 5 minutes I'm super calm!! I do recommend searching about EFT before trying it, it's basically acupunture without the needles! It works for me, but maybe it's not your cup of tea.

I think this is why you’re one of my favorite youtubers! Not only do we both share that our fathers were alcoholics at young ages due to mental illnesses and not knowing how to cope. This is by far one of the most in depth and helpful videos you’ve uploaded. Not only is it therapeutic to you and us it’s also very empathetic and helpful to us. You’re shedding a light on what could be new to some viewers and as always mental health is pushed under a rug and avoided being discussed. We’re still in the Stone Age when it comes to discussing mental health openly. Many of the topics you brought up our thought early on in your lives and forgotten about or ignored but they play such an important role in our health. I would love if you’d do a video on your auto immune disorder

We all have fear but it shouldnt control us. We're in control of our emotions and actions. Anyone who reads this your not alone, focus on yourself first. Notice the problem, Learn from it , Embrace it, and let it go. I wish you well on your journey <3

The "fear" of talking on the phone is not a inherent problem of communication. Someone can be a-ok with talking face to face and be completely put off by having a phone conversation (not seeing a face/expression, not looking the other in the eye, not hearing well, making the other one repeat, being called/calling at the wrong place/time…). Being apprehensive about answering the phone or having important conversation over the phone doesn't make you weak in the good old communication department.

I like how light this video was. Like I was just talking to a friend instead of being talked at. (Maybe that's confusing). I always hated the 'advice' videos where people would talk medically instead of encouraging and chill. (the medically ones always just give me more anxiety)

    Love this, Kelly! ♥️

This video meant so much to me! I have been struggling with anxiety and depression, since I was young. All the things you spoke about are good things to be reminded of! (especially exercise for me!) Then when you mentioned having your thyroid checked, I got teary eyed. I had mine checked the beginning of last year (Jan 2018) Dr noticed it was swollen a bit, did an ultrasound, long story short: I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and had a total thyroidectomy last June 2018. I have learned so much about the Thyroid gland, it is so important! <3
Oooh and that crazy lady across the street! Too funny. Love ya Kelly! ~Kristin
