This weeks tutorial is about bracing, which protects your spine better than another technique called hollowing. Bracing has been found to reduce stress on the spine because spreads it around the torso away from the spine. There are many exercises that require you to brace your core and the more you practice it with exercise, the more likely you are to use in everyday life, protecting your spine further.
This rehabilitative exercise is very different to traditional fitness exercise, its goal is not to exhaust you, but to help you overcome injury and reduce risk of it in the future. It begins with 5 core skills that you use with every exercise, helping you do the exercise correctly and strengthening your back.
