Uric acid and gout are clearly linked. Excess uric acid in your bloodstream can result in crystals settling in your joints, and when this happens, they cause your symptoms of gout. So to get relief from gout you need lower uric acid levels. Avoid Foods that are Rich in Purines

In order to lower uric acid, gout sufferers need to reduce purines, which are very important chemical compounds that exist in our bodies and some foods. Uric acid is formed when purines break-down as part of the process that provides us with our protein and energy.

Typical high-purine foods to be avoided are; red meat, offal, poultry, shellfish, gravy, peas, beans, lentils, yeast, yeast extract, etc. And avoid alcohol.

Eat Plenty of Fruit and Vegetables Daily

You should be eating 5 portions of fresh fruit and vegetables daily. They help to flush uric acid out of your system. But do not eat mushrooms or asparagus or cauliflower, because they have relatively high purine levels.

You can try to dissolve uric acid crystals using hot and cold compresses. For hot, you can utilize a basin filled with hot water at around 90 deg F. or a hot towel. For cold, you can use a basin filled with cold water and ice cubes, or, a compress of ice cubes in a plastic bag. Apply the hot for 3 minutes, then cold for 30 seconds. Repeat for about 20 minutes, and always finish with a cold compress. (Note: I personally found this to be very effective).

And, there are many other aspects to consider, such as any medications you are on, family history of gout / arthritis, your weight position, body pH (acidity), etc. And one other important point to make is that suffering recording gout can cause you permanent joint damage and even kidney problems.
