Using Olive Oil For Shaving With an Electric Razor

Using Olive Oil For Shaving With an Electric Razor

#MigraineSymptoms #Nutrition #painManagement #PlasticSurgery

The use of mens electric shavers in itself is already an environment friendly choice, since unlike disposable razors that you discard after each use, the electric razor can be used over and over and can last a lifetime.

Yet, you can go a mile further with your mens electric shavers and with taking care of the environment. Almost everything now is about going green, or using natural organic materials, that is why even the most personal tasks (including shaving) are now siding with Mother Nature. Using olive oil as a lubricating substance, instead of using commercial shaving foams or creams, is now what many people do not just because olive oil has healthy properties but also because it tends to be less expensive than using commercial shaving lubricants.

In this article you will learn how to shave using olive oil. Here are the steps to have a better result when using olive oil for shaving with an electric razor.

Choose your oil. Not all oil of olives is the same. Certain types of olive oils is meant for cooking. Others are meant for ingredients in certain solutions. Make sure you are using virgin olive oil only, particularly the extra virgin type, since other types have undergone chemical processing and would no longer be 100% organic.

Lubricate your skin with the oil. Pour some oil into a container, dip your fingers into the oil, then rub your oily fingers gently onto your skin. This is done to lubricate your skin and prevent yourself from nicking or cutting yourself while shaving. Since olive oil moisturizes your skin, there is no need to put aftershave after shaving.

Start shaving. Apply a liberal amount of oil on skin areas you will be shaving. The oil will make those areas have a slicker surface. Then use your electric razor to shave the desired areas.

If you think your skin is too dry, then put on more oil after shaving; that is, use it as an aftershave. It is ill advice to use commercial products and lotions because they usually have parabens as an ingredient. This chemical has been identified as a potential carcinogen or cancer-causing substance.

Begin and end with olive oil. Once you are done, immerse the blade of your razor in oil. It is better to use olive oil than water if you clean it. Without the film of oil protecting the blade, the unpreserved finish will cause the razor to rust and tarnish more quickly, which means the blade will go blunt faster. You can even use olive oil to clean and maintain your electric shaver. Simply soak the razor blade in oil, then wipe off the hairs with a clean cloth or a piece of bathroom tissue.

Through these tips, you will surely have an all-natural, Mother-Nature-friendly shaving routine with your mens electric shavers. You can even share these tips with your friends and family members. Who knows, even the simplest acts may result in even bigger help for the environment.
