To aid boost the lives of sufferers, researchers from the College of Melbourne have joined Bionic Eyesight Australia (BVA), a countrywide consortium of retinal surgeons, eyesight clinicians, neuroscientists, biomedical and electrical engineers working together to acquire an sophisticated bionic eye.
BVA was launched at the College of Melbourne by Prime Minster Kevin Rudd this week, where by the consortium also unveiled their prototype bionic eye, a vast-view neurostimulator strategy.
