We discuss how your pupils, convergence of the eyes and accommodation of the crystalline lens form the ‘near triad’. The near triad complement each other to help you work comfortably close up on computers and screens. The route of computer vision syndrome and eye strain, sore eyes, tired eyes is often due to environmental factors that affect how easily the convergence of the eyes and accommodation of the crystalline lens can work together. This assumes that you are already wearing your most up-to-date eye glasses prescription for nearsightedness.
