Eczema is a skin disease and a type of skin condition that manifest itself by the irritation of the skin. The skin becomes red, itchy, scaly and eventually causes sores that can become infected if they do not heal. We do not know the exact cause of eczema, although some medical professional believes that it is caused by a form of allergy. But in reality it is much more difficult to find the exact cause of eczema than trying to treat him.
These symptoms can occur at any time and at all ages. There is no specific rule in this area. Certainly, it is children who are usually most affected by this phenomenon.
This is known as atopic eczema. It manifests itself in childhood, may extend into the period of adolescence and usually disappears in adulthood. Unfortunately, this is not always the case. Statistics have shown that about one in three or four cases of eczema lasted beyond adolescence and did not fade in adulthood.
It becomes difficult to offer treatments that are effective, or if they are, it's only on a temporary basis to prevent itching episodes and prevent infection of the lesions.
Eczema can become even more difficult to treat if the person had eczema in his childhood and now still have them in adulthood. Indeed, adults that have eczema tend to have a depressed immune system thus making them vulnerable to allergies and other associated symptoms.
Eczema can thus be triggered by various causes. We know that there is a real link between the immune system and eczema. Although it is not the root cause of the disease, stress can also act as a major trigger for the disease and increase the possibility of getting itching phases. Finally, we also know that an allergy can cause skin problems as eczema.
Although everything seems related to uncertainty, at least one clinical manifestation appears to be associated with attacks of eczema; immune deficiency. It was found that the immune system needs to be boosted to limit the damage caused by eczema. It is therefore advantageous to make every effort to keep our immune system in the best possible condition. This is where a balanced diet, sport activities and stress management can be really useful. Alternatively there are some health supplements that are available and should prove really useful for you to consider.
Although the root cause of eczema is not understood, there are ways to deal with this skin condition. Do not hesitate to talk to your doctor about the different treatments and get rid of this condition today.
