Is anybody looking at a diet of grass fed beef or lamb, organic chicken, eggs, plenty of organic cruciferous vegetables, 1000mg fish oil/day, low carb, low sugar? Combined with hard training like HIIT 3x/week with weight training? It seems studies are either looking at either eating a terrible diet vs. a vegetarian diet.

I usually like your interview style. But this interview?!?! I really see somebody being dismissive and trying to justify his own (returned) bad eating habits. Luckily Dr. Greger can handle it! lol

Different humans require different diets. I’m 6 4 215 pounds I eat oats, white rice, meat 2 to three times a week and a lot of vegetables and beans. the only fruit I eat are apples. Everyone is different

What is your state of consciousness when you are actually eating your meal? Are you stressed? Did you prepare the meal? Are you eating on the go? Do you chew your food? Are you grateful for your food? I feel these are all more important to answer on a person to person basis than just following a diet and fad. The diet is not YOU

    Thoughts?

Feels like Christmas morning here, thanks London Real.
You guys should consider getting DR DEAN ORNISH as the next plant-based guest. Greger here references him a few times, but Dr Ornish himself is quite a speaker and has been a guest on plenty of podcasts and whathaveyou. He really has an amazing and inspiring overall message, and the healthy diet is sort of the roots of the tree of his greater message. A very great man, definitely worth listening to!

3:18, his assumptions? He doesn't have any. Just scientifically backed, peer reviewed research and facts.

Really great! Having DOCTOR Neal Barnard and DOCTOR Michael Greger on, more than makes up for the non-sense and disinformation from Dave Assprey.

Desperately looking for excuses. So Lewis Hamilton and Novak Djokovic are not top athletes??? Really??? How scientific is that comment?

The state of this man says enough.
    Do not follow his advice!
That being said do not eat bullshit processed foods either… its not rocket science!
Take some personal responsibility …or don’t and suffer.

Studies. Studies. Studies. All studies are flawed. If you base your actions on studies, then the basis for your actions will be similarly flawed. "The science" can only tell us so much.
Perhaps Dr. Greger should do a study of his own on the many people who tried his diet and ended up as ex-vegans due to its negative effects on their health and livelihood.

I appreciate Dr. Greger's position and candor more than any other of these plant based doctors, however you can't prove that chickpeas are definitively healthier than wild elk for everyone. Too many factors come into play such as serving size, frequency, the environmental source of the food, the person's genetics, micro-adaptations, etc. The red meat provides valuable nutrition. The chickpeas provide valuable nutrition. I often think of the analogies Greger uses in some of his nutritonfacts videos such as you would have to eat 20 cups of soybeans in order for phytoestrogens to be problematic, or you would have to eat 20 cups of uncooked kale in order for the oxalates to be problematic. The same is true of red meat, you would likely have to consume 3 or more pounds per day of that wild elk before the cholesterol, heme, or TMAOs are problematic. Most people aren't going to get anywhere close to eating that much soy, kale, or meat in a day, everyday. If you are eating a balanced whole food omnivorous diet and following recommended guidelines then you are already consuming 75-80% of your daily calories from whole plants. The other 20-25% being whole meat, fish, or eggs simply isn't going to be enough to cause a problem.

Brain mate, go back to the old format. It's hard to watch. Let him talk without bias just like other guests. If you want to eat meat then go and eat it, Don't justify it. We all know your story about your additions and attitude in your past and it seems to be returning but this time as a sense "I am the special person" and we all know that ends badly when the masses sniff it out. People watch your content for your guests, and we people don't care what you, larry king, Conan or whoever eats. We like you as a facilitator, not a speaker. Sorry for the chin check. Good hosts are just as bewildered as the people who watch with the new information presented or at least try to seem so.

You're just trying to say you didn't understand the science when it was all explained in detail in the movie… watch Game changers again and pay attention this time.

Nutrition Facts used to be called Vegan Research Institute. He re-branded it. He also works for the Humane Society. He is overwhelmingly biased.

Just saw the Game Changers. But why allow the F word left in the movie. I wouldn’t allow children to watch this movie. It should be rated PG – R . I believe Forks Over Knives is a better documentary. Serena and Venus Williams aren’t at the top of their game? How about djokovic, he isn’t at the top of is game?

Why does the guest assume all meat eaters eat crap food and have health issues? I love vegan meals and dont eat fast food. I only eat meat I either hunt myself or know the farmers. Only eat meat in winter months . I dont take any drugs or pharmaceutical no health issues.

I guess the poor eskimos are dying from all that raw meat. Guess what they are healthier than most of us city people without a single Pesticide sprayed veggie grow on depleted soil. And here you are thinking you’re better than the the rest because you eat soy burgers. Brain washed vegans.

How about our brains needing animal fat ? Guess vegans don’t like to argue that one. There is no plant base cholesterol people. Don’t fall into this vegan nonsense. A diet that you need supplements to make it work shows how is not for humans. Even people eating a standard American diet don’t need to supplement… there isn’t a single vegan tribe in human history it’s just non existence. Eat meat :)

Hmm, I find your videos and the interviewees on London Real compelling. You are generally totally open and inviting to your guests specialiasms, but somehow when you have a vegan or plant based advocate on, a noticeable element of defensiveness and dismissiveness creeps in, a bit '….What-ever…' Hmmm
