Try one word sticky notes.  "Stop" "Breath" "Relax" "Walk".  I post them in my room and in place of my mental to do list.  You know that area of your mind where you normally put the grocery list is a good place to keep them.  You know what you need from the store and if not just write it down.  We all have lots to do everyday.  I get overwhelmed like crazy myself.  I know what I need from the store and if it's something specific there's no reason to overload my mind with it so I write it down, text myself, or lose/forget the list then spin into a frenzy when I walk into the store.  But that's okay.  The store will be open tomorrow too.  And there are things at the house that I could compromise with.  It's okay.  This way I don't need to ruminate on it but I do need to focus on my breathing, well being, and quality of life.  Relax all those advertisement bombardments that your eye picks up like just let them sink past your acknowledgement.  Advertisements these days are triggering as is and it should be criminal but isn't.  So it's best to just let those sink with serenity while instead "walking" on past those colorful fish hooks from marketing geniuses.  It's difficult but actually using blinders to the World can be a good thing if you are in need of them.  Basically focus on one thing, take baby steps, and celebrate those small daily wins.  This is just an example of how a day could spiral into a mess which happens to me often.  The grocery store could be any analogy.  The important part is to acknowledge the feeling of anxiety, accept it, breath correctly, relax, and take a small step forward.  You've been through this before.  It'll be okay.  I have much more that I could say and so many ways I could reword everything above.  It's okay.  I'll leave it at that.  Have a nice day.

Tip 4 can be dangerous because you can become dependent on someone answering the phone to relieve your anxiety. That's something I did, and it would make my panic worse if no one answered. I had to learn that it would be fine if no one answered. I think it's important to have them as a support person, but not to make them someone you depend on for relief.

I have anxiety all the time, with me I have no peace moment, I feel like I'm losing my mind little by little and like I can't do something else but to focus on it more and more, I tried exercise, I tried medication, (even for psychosis) and it doesn't help, does someone know if that can cause a person to lose their mind? because mine is really bad, I swear I can't take it anymore, any comment… I would really appreciate it….

Usually if I am feeling anxious or am trying not to have a panic attack before things such as going to work or school, I will try to picture or imagine what the end of the day will be like when I get back home and have survived the day. This is sometimes the only way I am able to reassure myself enough to leave the house. I also like to chew gum or listen to music loudly to drown out the task that I have to do or the thoughts of where I have to go. If I'm not thinking about it, it's not happening and i'm not feeling so anxious.

'Making deals and breaking hearts.' Immediately thought of Rumple, OUAT anyone?

Kati, I just found your channel through Hannah Hart and I'm glad I did cause I'm just a 16 year old kid who has been through a lot, suffering and getting through it alone. I don't have a supportive family. They don't understand and like to make assumptions that make me feel really bad. I try. I really do because I know there are others who have it worse and even though with all my problems, I try to help my friends with theirs as much as I can because this 'therapy thing' seems to be something I find quite relatable and I don't know, I just get it.

I don't even know what I'm going through anymore because there are too many mental issues and I can't actually go to a therapist cause my friends and family just think I'm a normal kid who is sometimes just a little weird.. Because it's normal to be a little weird. But I'm not normal, I know there's something wrong with me but I can't admit it to anyone cause nobody ACTUALLY cares and I'm scared of admitting to be 'crazy'.

There are times when friends or family have looked at me like I was an alien or beast, they freaked out or yelled at me for just saying something that no normal person would. And it physically mentally emotionally made me afraid. I had real fear of somebody thinking I was 'crazy'.

    I think too much.
    I have panic attacks.
I get physical pain like headaches or breathing issues from it.
I used to cry everyday for no apparent reason but I've grown out of it.
Recently thinking have been so tiring that my brain just stops and sleeps. Like I'm physically awake but mentally asleep.
I can't explain that to someone.
People might just think I was being a typical teen and surfing the internet.. Playing games until dawn and making myself tired and sleepy but it's not that.
I can't complete tasks anymore but I know I can, I want to, I must. So I accept as many work as I can, trying to prove I'm not a typical lazy teen but I always fail because I have 'issues'. Issues that nobody around me can understand.

I'm grateful for your channel. Thank you.

Hey! I have a question for you. Since the High Holidays are coming up so fast, I would like to know what you think of anorexia nervosa and other eating disorders and Yom Kippur. Just to clarify, the Jewish High Holy Day Yom Kippur is a day that we fast to "afflict ourselves" and to focus on our spiritual needs. It is also a day of repentance. It is also forbidden to wash yourself. So not only does this question regard those with eating disorders, but those who may also have another disorder like OCD, in which they compulsively confess, wash or are scrupulous.
Another sacred time I would like to mention, though I am not Muslim, is Ramadan. What are your thoughts on that? The fasting on Ramadan lasts much longer than a day. Thank you!

Another suggestion for exercising: play DDR! or Just Dance! Super fun and different from what people normally think about "exercise." Or turn on your spotify and dance around the house. These are just some of the things I would enjoy way more than the typical "exercise" things, maybe y'all might too! =D

I completely agree with you about medication helping you to take action.
If I hadn't gone on medication, I would never have been able to get over the anxiety enough to be able to help myself. And because of the medicine, I am now able to control my anxiety so much so that I can enjoy life again.
