How to eat to gain muscle – In this video I’m going to give you some of my best tips on how to eat to gain muscle. Eating to gain muscle doesn’t have to be complicated or hard. The reason you’re likely watching this how to eat to gain muscle tutorial is because you’ve likely tried gaining weight and muscle in the past and struggled with the nutrition side. So in this video, I’ll take care of all of that for you.

First tip on how to eat to gain muscle mass is eating at a caloric surplus. Basically, this means eating more calories than you burn during the day. When eating to build muscle this is KEY. It won’t matter what foods you eat, if you’re not eating at a surplus you’ll always struggle with how to eat and gain muscle fast.

So the next tip for how to eat and gain muscle mass is to eat a decent amount of protein. When I first started learning how to gain muscle naturally with food, I thought that all I needed was protein. This was back in the day with a lot less research than there is now. While protein is important for eating to gain muscle, it’s not everything. A rule of thumb when it comes to eating to build muscle with protein is to consume 1 gram per pound of bodyweight. That’s a good place to start when figuring out how to eat to gain muscle.

The next tip for how to gain muscle naturally with food is adding in fats. Healthy fats are very calorie dense. Meaning these foods can help you get the calories you need when figuring out how to eat and gain muscle fast. For every gram of fat there is 9 calories. Just to give you an idea of why this is one of the best how to gain muscle mass food groups.

Fats can also be tied in with a protein food to gain muscle. For example, whole eggs, grass fed beef, and salmon are both high in protein and high in healthy fats. So you can see why it’s a great combo for how to eat food to build muscle. Now, there’s one more macronutrient that we need to talk about when addressing the question how to eat to gain muscle… and that is carbs. However, there’s a certain type of carbs I recommend you eat.

Leading into the next tip for how to gain muscle fast by eating. You want to consume complex carbs and not just simple carbs. Why? Because complex carbs have more calories. And when someone asks me how to eat right to gain muscle I always recommend complex carbs instead of the poptarts and other sugary stuff people recommend in other muscle building diets. Look, you want to learn how to eat right to gain muscle so when it comes time to cut, you’re not addicted to all of these other sugary foods that are bad for you.

Now you may be wondering how to gain muscle fast by eating and it comes down to you being consistent with your meals. Also, increasing your calories when you’re eating to gain muscle because I can promise at some point the scale will stall. When that happens and you still want to keep eating to gain muscle, then increase your calories by 500 calories every day.

    Fast metabolism here.. question..
    I'm #220 = 220 grams of protein.
    100 grams of fat.
    So for a starting point to gain muscle, How many grams of carbohydrates?

    180 grams of protein, 100 grams of carbs and 80 grams of fat and I will still be in calorie deficit after my workouts. Can I eat more carbs to make up the difference? I am about 25% body fat at the moment so I guess a deficit doesn't hurt but I still want my muscle gains.
