Hi guys, I’m Phillipa from Fit College.

Many people these days are trying to reduce their carbon footprint and one of the ways to do this is reduce your meat intake but how do you do that while maintaining those protein intakes and building that lean muscle. I’m gonna give you some tips today on building lean muscle whilst maintaining a green lifestyle.

So the first one is if you don’t want to reduce your meat intake just ensuring that you’re sustainably sourcing your meat. That could be doing home kill or catching your own fish or making sure the meat that you do buy is locally sourced.

Second tip is on those meat free days to incorporate more lentils and beans. Things like chickpeas and black beans that all great sources of protein.

The third tip is actually crickets and insects that are awesome source. They breed fast, they don’t use a lot of water or land and are high in protein.
