What’s going on guys! In today’s video I’m going to be going over what I call my 5 commandments of how to build muscle faster! Often many people are working out for years on end, but are doing quite a few things wrong that if you fix them you’ll start seeing some really fast progress & we’re going to cover those today.

First, make sure you have a plan of what exercises you’ll be performing that day. One of the main reasons people seek a trainer is so they can have specific exercises laid out for their exact goals. You want to have a plan with compound movements first, followed with isolation movements afterwards.

Second, having the proper volume in your training program is going be huge. You need to have the proper sets, reps, and what weight you’re using for those exercises.

Third, make sure you are performing full range of motion on your reps. This one is often very overlooked, and people are more worried about the weight they’re using and ego-lifting versus doing a full, proper and controlled rep. Doing a full proper rep will 10x your results, so don’t skip this one.

Fourth, make sure you got your tempo down and continually change the tempo you’re using. Every rep has a tempo, and contains 3 contractions – on the way up, holding at the top, and on the way back down. One thing I like to emphasize is utilizing a longer eccentric contraction (on the way down) to really hit my muscles harder.

Fifth, make sure you are getting the proper rest to gain muscle mass. Working out and lifting is only part of the equation, if you aren’t getting enough rest then you aren’t giving your body adequate time to recover. Lifting is tearing your muscles, after you leave the gym your recovery and diet is the key to maximizing growth.

    What do you think of full body training every 48 hrs. Like Monday..Thursday..Sunday…..following week Wednesday….Saturday…..Tuesday…..and so on…..I’m 72 3exercises for body parts……legs…chest…back…arms….8 to 10 reps……any suggestion? Thank you.
