What Are the Four Focuses of the Wellness Concept? | Brown Plastic Surgery
#Smoking #Self-Hypnosis #SkinCare #Skin #Sleep
We have many patients that come to Brown Plastic Surgery for breast implants, tummy tucks, or other common procedures. However, not everyone is ready and sometimes it’s best to focus on other areas of their life before we resort to plastic surgery. This is where the wellness concept comes in.
The first area that we want to approach with our patients is the mental side of why they want surgery and/or why they aren’t able to lose weight on their own. Our practice will have a licensed therapist who can counsel you to help process things you’re struggling with and help you overcome the mental blocks you may be experiencing.
Second, we’ll be addressing nutrition and having you work with our nutritionist, Dr. Megan Rigby. We’ll help you understand the macronutrients and amounts of food you need to reach your goals. We want to empower you to understand nutrition and teach you how to listen to your body to be able to maintain long-lasting results.
The third piece of our wellness concept is exercise. There are many reasons why people don’t exercise. Some feel that can’t. Some feel that they simply don’t know what to do. We are going to help ease your mind and deliver you an individualized plan that you can achieve at your current level.
The last piece of the puzzle won’t be mandatory but will be recommended for most people as they start out. There will be a custom meal service where you can pick up your meals that perfectly match your desired macronutrients. This will make meal prep easier for you in the beginning while also teaching you different meal ideas to carry on as you go about your healthy lifestyle.
